Things
to do in case of fire;
Check if your escape
way is blocked by flames.
If your escape way is
clear, leave the building with your family as quick as you can.
If possible, shut down
the electric switch before you leave the flat and shut down the natural gas
safety valve of the flat.
·
If the escape way is blocked:
·
Close the door of the place where fire has started; if it is broken, do
not open it.
·
Go to the furthest point away from the fire and if possible, go where
the firefighters can see you.
·
Prefer places with balcony for shelter. Close the communicating doors if
any.
·
Cover the upper and lower parts and both sides of the door of your
shelter with wet cloth.
·
Take a torch and water with you if possible.
·
If the fire is at your upper floor, check if there is smoke at the
stairs. If there is a fire escape, evacuate the building from there. If not,
evacuate the building through the normal stairs.
·
If the fire is downstairs, check if there is smoke through your escape
way. If it is clear, leave the building from the fire escape. If not,
· If your escape way is blocked, go back to
your flat. Cover the upper and lower parts and both sides of the door with wet
cloth. Go to the furthest room from the fire and likewise insulate the door of
the room. Do not leave your flat. Close all windows and remove the curtains on
the wall facing the direction of fire. In addition, take the furniture at that
wall away, and wet them if possible. If the burning building is a flat next
door, remove the furniture at the adjacent wall away.
MEASURES
TO BE TAKEN IN ORDER TO AVOID FACING FIRE HAZARD IN YOUR HOME OR WORKPLACE
Record the fire notice and police emergency line
telephone numbers of your region in the phonebook of your house and in your
mobile phone.
There must be at least
one 6 kg dry chemical powder extinguisher at each flat.
Plug out after using
devices such as devices with resistance, water heaters, toasters and irons in
particular, after using.
Make sure that you
have your appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines and furnaces
installed with a fixed connection (direct plug-in without plug/socket) by an
electrician. Never have these fixed connections installed by taking electricity
from sockets.
Have all chimneys of
your flat or apartment cleaned by competent specialists at least once a year.
Have your building
equipped with suitable devices to notify you with the gas leaks with audible or
flashing warning signals.
Never leave your
children home unattended.
Pre-plan the escape
routes from your flat in case of emergency and explain to your family.
The substances such as
polishers, detergents, pesticides, shampoos, furniture cleaning chemicals,
hydraulic oils, motor oils, fertilizers that you use for flower pots in your
home or office are combustible and they are chemical substances that produce
poisonous fumes when they burn. If they are potentially igniting, keep them in
a closed cabinet and keep such cabinets away from reach of children.
FIRE
EXTINGUISHERS THAT ARE COMPULSORY TO BE AVAILABLE IN YOUR HOUSE
OPERATING
PRINCIPLES: It
is based on the principle of a non-humid propellant gas being pressurised to
spray chemical extinguishing powders or water-based extinguishing agents from a
suitable nozzle.
Therefore, remember
that the equipment you have is constantly under pressure. Avoid keeping them at
places where can be exposed to the impact of a furnace or fire.
The pressure gauge on
your equipment displays the pressure of the propellant gas. Check this pressure
gauge display screen every month. Check whether the index is right in the
middle in the green area. Strictly apply the instructions on the label of your
equipment.
Have your cylinders
with expired refilling periods maintained and refilled without neglecting. You
can send us a message by clicking the message button or contact us via
telephone or e-mail.
Carefully read the
label on the cylinders before using in case of emergency and use it complying
with those instructions. The triggering system starting up the spraying of the
equipment is in accordance with the standards and within the range of power
that everyone can press.
Also check whether the
safety lock installed to avoid unintentional activation of the equipment's
trigger is in place during monthly check.
